this just in: still nowhere to live. film at ten.
Life
Well, I started packing up my life today, even though I have no place to move it into. I did hear of a potential place, just around the corner from where I live (+0), cool, run-down art-deco exterior (+1), inhabited for years by someone who smokes (-1), lived in by an old friend of mine (+1), an upstairs apartment (-1). Comes out average in the end. I guess we'll see.
So far, I've designated about 2 cubic meters (m^3) of random stuff as being ditchable, either into a bin or to a local charity. I'll probably give the fantastic writing table back to my Dad (when do I ever write anything?), another 2m^3 saved. Most of my books, manuals, media, btech, modelling, hardware and bits and pieces have been (or were already) boxed - around 15 boxes in total. My household stuff (cooking, eating, etc) still needs to be packed, this will probably be around 5 additional boxes. There's 3 boxes of CDs to pack, and maybe another 15 boxes of miscellaneous gear and unpackable hardware. Assuming 8 boxes uses about 1m^3, that is a total of over 4m^3. Excluding my furniture (twin and singe sofa, small teevee, huge stereo, bed, shelves, tables, bookcase - far too much to accurately estimate), I've cut the amount I need to move into the new place by half. Not bad.
I still don't even want to think about what I'm going to do with vee.net's hardware.

Nah, nada. I guess I'm just going to have to play the revolving domain name re-delegation game again.
Sigh.
