Volition

Claire, our no-quite-itinerant french girl, has been here for almost a week, and she leaves tomorrow. I've been so busy at work that I've hung out with her and Alison for maybe three nights, one of which was just to have some dinner.

She's pretty cool, but I think that given both Al and I work, that we don't have a car and that I'm a boring old fart, she will come away with the impression that Adelaide is a slow, boring, dull country town. In fact, she said it seems like a country town. Now I realize that Adelaide is a slow, boring, dull country town, but I feel like we should have at least covered that fact up up a little, you know, done our bit for international tourism and what-not.

We're going to see Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas at the Moonlight Cinema tonight, which should be good. I haven't seen it yet and the Botanic Gardens is always a relaxing setting to see a moov.
