Volition

Well, it is official, The Hurts rock. I love their self-published EP, The Rain In Spain Falls Mainly on the Plains, and so naturally I was interested to hear what else they can do at last night's gig. They didn't let me down. I was intending to go have a chat with them after the gig, to find out what their plans for an album are, but by the time Russian Teammate had played I was a few gin and tonics past coherent. Oh well, maybe next time.

The other point of interest was the venue, Adelaide's newest; Jade Monkey. Created and run by the froods Zac and Naomi, the place is similar to what I would like to set up when/if I grow up. Nice lounge atmosphere, comphy couches, a good bar (although they need to get Bombay Sapphire in pronto) and excellent live music playing. Fantastic stuff!

Now, you must excuse me, I have a washing machine to move out of my server room...
