Volition

I just saw Henry Rollins' spoken word show. Get along and see it; he is quite thought provoking. The show is witty, intelligent, insightful, self-centered, long and a bit moving at times. He touched on email, war, bum cracks, George W. Bush and other stupid people, Hollywood, The Ramones, Australia, EBay, Gallipoli and many other things in-between.

Like a few Americans seem to be doing at the moment, he was working hard to convince us that they are not all ignorant redneck hicks, stupid or evil. He puts across a pretty cool image, that of a nasty bastard with his heart in his right place. I must admit he seems to have a pretty cool life, I'm envious of it, but from whom is he really taking the piss in those Hollywood blockbusters, them or us?

He does a hard sell, but it is a good way to spend an evening.
