Interesting feature over on Creative Commons about the Illegal Art exhibition that was on at SF MOMA recently.

The works in the exhibit are illegal in the United Sates because of the craptacular copyright laws now in place over there. Instead of facilitating the exchange of thoughts and ideas as originally intended, copyright laws are being used to supress it.

Given the way the patent situation is heading in the European Union, I would not be suprised if their copyright laws go the same way. If so, then it only a matter of time before Australia follows suit. I really should find out who the WIPO's Copyright Treaty is fucking over right now, if Australia is a signatory.
