Huh! Who would have thought the that premier non-product of the space age program, Teflon, is killing your pet birds and probabally killing you, as well?
The gist is that when as soon as it is heated, teflon starts gives off highly posionous fumes. For humans, the fumes can give flu-like symptoms, but are not too dangerous until the teflon gets really hot, like when you cook with it. For birds, even a small dose of the fumes can be fatal.
I don't think I'll be buying any more teflon products.
