azure 0.5

Geek

Azure 0.5 is out.

Lots of new features, including: offline post creation, draft posts and a more streamlined user interface. See the release notes for the full story. Download it from the usual place. Subscribe to the new mailing list to be notified when new versions are out.

This version includes some debug for Nokia phones. If you're getting an error when editing a post, install this version and let me know what the more concise error message says. Cheers!

I think the next version is going to be re-refactored, hopefully making the codebase maintainable again. This *will* bloat the size right out however, making Azure way to tubby for the whimpier phones out there. It's already ~61k obfuscated (~68k unobfuscated). I don't think the more advanced features are terribly useful on those devices, however, so I think I'll end up making a decaf version of Azure for low-end futurephones. Hopefully I can get it in under 30k. The full-strength version will still have all the good features and will be usable on better futurephones (like my trusty P800) and PDAs.
