Okay, "outstandingly crap" is probably overstating it a bit. "Not really my kind of pub" is more accurate. But hey, there's nothing wrong with a bit of hyperbole every now and then. :)
What I didn't like about it:
- No Dark Ale on tap. Unforgivable for a pub in Adelaide, really.
- The interior decoration. Not offensive, but bland, just like every other recently renovated pub out there. The bricks-showing-through-the-faux-crumbling-mortar thing is particularly cliqued.
- $3 for a game of pool is a bit rough.
- The repeating, commercial hits soundtrack.
- The just-stopping-off-for-a-drink-before-we-hit-The-Planet clientele isn't my kind of crowd.
On the positive side; they do have stubbies of Dark and there /is/ a pool table, with actual room around which to play a game of pool.
[Yeah, I couldn't have people going and inserting arbitrary markup in my pages, it may end up non-well-formed. That would be the end of the world.]
[Using some non-semantic kluge, like copying and pasting the quote into a pair of quotes. yeah, I know, it sucks.]
They didn't seem to have a tap shortage, but I can't for the life of me remember what b33r they had on them. I'm sure it didn't impress me at the time, whatever it was. :)
I completely understand where you're coming from with the balcony; there's nothing like having a b33r in the afternoon when the sun is out... Summer? Where have you gone?!

Oh, one last thing: Their ads suck. They *really* need to fire their marketing people.

Yeah, I was going to install some sort of BlahTags, but I need to look into it more. See what all the cool kids are using, etc, etc.
