And that's just the Slashdot 'articles'. (I've always been dubious of the Wikipedia idea, and it's just this kind of taking-itself-way-too-seriously over-analysis of what is essentially just net cruft that cements my opinion. It wasn't even funny---or did I miss something?)

I don't know what I find more entertaining, the existance of the culture or the writeup on Wikipedia.

But you have to give it too them, the phenomena does occur, people may want to read up about it. If they don't document it, who else going to?
