Did you know the Democrats are preferencing Family First?? If the Demos had one shred of credibility left to lose then *poof*, it just flew out the window.

Tansy and Jess - I think we'll all have to get together on election night so we can console each other if the worst happens. Then get ourselves on the next plane to "anywhere not run by a lying, self-serving, fascist arsehole". Think the Virgin plane to space might be our only option though...

I hear you on the shoe thing Jess. I have to send you this link to the most incredible shoe place in the US - they custom-make Victorian and Edwardian boots and you get to choose the fabric, heels, height, size and colour. It's super-dreamy-cool.

Tansy - any chance we can do the election night at my place? Then we can do a fashion parade of my *deleted coz too embarrassing* number of new, v pretty but totally non-sensible shoes.

And while I'm drifting off politics into girlie ephemera - does anyone know if Kerry O'Brien is doing the election night coverage? I have a massive crush on that guy.

And remember - since there's a chance John Howard might get voted back in by the STUPID Australian public (everyone I know excluded, of course), water-proof mascara is your best friend.

Cosmopolitan Magazine's Ditzy Election Reporter signing off.
