Gnome Blog is a handy tool that leys you post entries direct from your Gnome Panel. No web browser or other application needed.
This is a test post, just to see how it works. I have a feeling categories aren't supported.

Update: Okay, not too bad, I had to fix some things up manually however. No support for categories, as I thought, and no image, Oh well.
