tough love

Geek

Oh, the new Nokia 770 is so exceptionally cool - Gnome and Linux based and built on Debian. So cool that it threw my immediate mobile phone purchasing plans (to upgrade to the S-E P900i) out the window, but then I noticed it is not actually a mobile. Huh? From Nokia?

Then I noticed it isn't due out until Q3 this year, so maybe we will see it in Australia next year some time.

Then I noticed it only has a battery life of three hours while browsing, which is in the same order as every other notebook computer out there.

Sigh. Maybe next time you will get me to switch back, Nokia.

Heh.

I can see how it happened in their marketing department, too: It's like a haiku, but better!
