I think it is high time I joined the ranks of those numerous elite who have authored a text book on Iinear algebra.
Of course, the tricky part will be coming up with a title that has not already been used. The poplular choices seem to be some linear combination of: first, course, introduction, elementary, modern, linear, algebra, examples and applications.
Perhaps, to be safe, I should use as a working title some basis of that set, something like: A First Course in Introductory Linear Algebra With Elementary Modern Example Applications.

What about something tacky, like "X marks the spot - An evening course with Michael J Gratton". Or, to satisfy Martine's penchant for Bill & Ted, "Algebra - Totally Xcellent".

If it doesn't contain "elementary", it is not on.
