gnome 2.14 release + party

Geek

I think the thing I like best about GNOME's 6-month release schedule is that it gives me another two reasons every year to have another b33r.

So, GNOME 2.14 is out. I am running it thanks to Ubuntu Dapper. Compared to 2.12, GNOME now runs faster, has more bling and much more polish. Notably, the new versions of Deskbar Applet and Epiphany rock. Evolution still sucks, but there are some nice-looking replacements for it under development.

Of course, I will be at the 2.14 Release party, 7pm this Monday, March 20 at the Belgian Beer Cafe. And yes, you will be there, too.

What're the new Evolution replacements that you speak of? Are there any puns on "Intelligent Design"?

Weird. My delete key has stopped working.

So much for the Happy Hacking aura of invincibility... and to think I stood up for you when my wife was mocking you, too.
