Zoom In (ZoomIn? zoomIn? God these Web 2.0 companies need to get their naming act together) are like Google Maps, but with actual street maps and names for Australia. You can also easily bookmark locations, like, say, my local pub. It seems to be reaonably fast and painless to use, unlike WhereIs, which is god-awful in most ways. ZoomIn really need to get some graphics and interface designers in, though. The geeks are clearly running the madhouse. Psst, guys: less anti-aliasing on the graphics, more on the maps.
The MAKE Controller Kit also looks cool for all those times you wanted to control something in the real-world, but didn't bother in the end because it was all too hard. With more numerous and better connections than your average mob boss, any meatspace hackers should have a few of these on their shelves for random R&D tasks that come along.
Lastly, for the kids, thanks to We Make Money Not Art: The gold that is Régine, Marie Laforet and Serge Gainsbourg in the early 70's.

Maybe. But this is an invalid web2.0 name. A web2.0 company name is one where if you said it without context your audience would struggle to decide wither it was a web2.0 company name or a character from the star wars universe. squidoo. wicket. kiko. meebo. tarkin. Whereas 'zoomin' is clearly a lame website name.
I saw a neat web 2.0-ish LAF this morning. http://www.diva-project.org. Simple, attractive.

Yes and identical to every other Web 2.0 website out there (i.e. identical to Flickr). I hope they are at least providing proper attribution for using the Tango Project's icons - I couldn't see any.
